WHAT: Press Conference with leading grass-root immigrant organizations, building on last Saturday’s march for “Sanctuary for All,” and LA’s 2006 May Day million immigrant march.

WHO: CALIFORNIA Congreso Latino, Hermandad Mexicana, RedMex, Union del Barrio, Frente Indigena Oaxaqueño Binacional, Centro CSO, Hermandad Mexicana Transnacional, CALIFORNIA-Mexico Studies Center, National Lawyers Guild, Southeast Cities Leadership Network, Eastside Greens, Dreamer Centers. 

WHY: Repudiate the Executive Order issued by the Trump Administration recently released which broadens the criteria of deportable persons and expedite removal; Call for the immediate passage of Senate Bill 54 in the CALIFORNIA legislature and signed by Gov. Jerry Brown to in effect declare California a sanctuary state to protect all residents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Call for a million-person march on May 1st, a national strike and DAY WITHOUT IMMIGRANTS and their families and supporters.
